ASTRID WEGE (Cologne) has regularly published articles and catalogue essays since 1990 and edited numerous publications about contemporary art. In 1994 she co-curated the exhibition “Oh boy, it’s a girl!” at Kunstverein München and Kunstraum Wien. From 1995 to 1999 she was the editor of “Texte zur Kunst”. Between 2003 and 2005 she was deputy director and curator of Galerie im Taxispalais, Innsbruck, where she assorted the first extensive retrospective on Charlotte Posenenske. As independent curator she realised exhibitions such as “Sex – vom Wissen und Wünschen”, Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, Dresden; “Ökonomien der Zeit”, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Akademie der Künste, Berlin and migros museum für gegenwartskunst, Zürich; “Resonance or How one reality can be understood through another” in collaboration with the Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht; and “Transforming Memory. 24. Nadezda Petrovic Memorial”, Cacak, Serbia. Astrid Wege was member of the programme board at “Festival of Regions” 2007 in Upper Austria. She teaches at the universities in Lüneburg and Cologne.
